Styx was better than ever
In my opinion, Simpsonville was privileged to have such iconic rock bands come to town. Every song was flawless; Tommy Shaw came out in the crowd, and walked right past me as I patted his back while rocking on his lead guitar. They kicked our butts so hard, everyone was exhausted by the time A Beautiful Noise - The Neil Diamond Musical came on stage, it took a couple of songs to get our second wind. Don Felder was a very good show opener, singing all of the Eagles' old mega hits; that was a treat. It took me back to the days I saw them in the 70s. Styx took the stage and rocked the place for an hour and twenty minutes. The band put so much into the performance and left nothing to be desired; they freaking rocked. They played all their old hits, and the sound was spot on. They were awesome and never missed a beat. Everyone in the band had the crowd interacting, and it was non-stop rock. When we did, it was on. We braved the rain for this show, and it was well worth it. Don't miss this show if you get the chance to go.
